The install starts ok, but the installer installs the kernel image for my processor instead of the speakup kernel image. This means I loos access to the system after reboot. A solution for this problem would be to have the package responsible for deciding what kernel image to install to check for /proc/speakup. If /proc/speakup exists, then install the speakup kernel image instead of the kernel image for the system's detected cpu. --------------------------------------- Received: (at 275075-close) by bugs.debian.org; 9 Oct 2004 00:08:11 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Oct 08 17:08:11 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from newraff.debian.org [208.185.25.31] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1CG4mR-0002Hv-00; Fri, 08 Oct 2004 17:08:11 -0700 Received: from katie by newraff.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1CG4gU-0003jR-00; Fri, 08 Oct 2004 20:02:02 -0400 From: Joey Hess <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.51 $ Subject: Bug#275075: fixed in base-installer 1.12 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Fri, 08 Oct 2004 20:02:02 -0400 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: Source: base-installer Source-Version: 1.12 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of base-installer, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: base-installer_1.12.dsc to pool/main/b/base-installer/base-installer_1.12.dsc base-installer_1.12.tar.gz to pool/main/b/base-installer/base-installer_1.12.tar.gz base-installer_1.12_i386.udeb to pool/main/b/base-installer/base-installer_1.12_i386.udeb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
