Thanks for your hard work. The message "i8253 count to high! resetting.." is printed to the screen on top of configuration screen. It happened 2 or 3 times, and then later durring normal system boot. It wasn't clear to me what caused it. It appeared to show up randomly. dmesg returns healthy messages except the following: <snipet> eth0: Setting full-duplex based on MII#1 link partner capability of 45e1. apm: BIOS version 1.2 Flags 0x03 (Driver version 1.16) [drm] Initialized radeon 1.7.0 20020828 on minor 0 [drm:radeon_unlock] *ERROR* Process 1156 using kernel context 0 inserting floppy driver for 2.4.27-1-k7 Floppy drive(s): fd0 is 1.44M FDC 0 is a post-1991 82077 spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ7. i8253 count too high! resetting.. i8253 count too high! resetting.. i8253 count too high! resetting.. </snipet> "i8253 count too high! resetting.." continues to repeat for a few pages. Also, Despite setting the monitor resolution to 1024x760 @ 75Mhz durring the installation configuration, when I log in, it appears to be set to 800x600 @ 75Mhz. The Gnome "Screen Resolution Preferences" window does not allow me to set my screen resolution to 1024x760 @ 75Mhz. I can only choose between 800x768 and 640x480. Hope this helps.
