Comments/Problems:

Used expert mode.
Configured static network.
Hard disk was already partitioned from previous Gentoo installation, so i
just created/mounted filesystems (ext2 for boot, reiserfs and swap).
Installed Grub, but it failed to boot after reboot, because it had (hd0,2) as
the root partition instead of (hd0,0) which is where i mounted /boot. So I had
to boot via grub command-line.
Base-config run fine.
I got two stalls while downloading packages which resulted in the packages
being skipped.
Installation proceeded fine after retry in both cases.

I'm quite sure that the installer supports installing grub with /boot on
a separate partition now.
