Debian-installer-version: not sure, around valentines day.
uname -a: didn't get that far.
Date: 4/14/04
Method: tried installing from cd.

Machine: home built with an alton m598 sis 530 chipset based motherboard and realtek 
based network card. dell latitude cpi-a laptop. 
Processor:amd k6-2 500 and pentium 3 366.
Memory:390mb(roughly) and 128mb
Root Device: western digital 6.4gb and 12gb ibm(not sure)
Root Size/partition table: /var 1gb /home 1gb / 4.4gb(roughly)

the cd i tried installing was received from a friend and was about a month old so the 
bugs might have been worked out already 
so i'll have to download and try again. the installer would crash at various times 
during the base package install on both machines.
