Could you have a look at 272136Â?

This bug has a very long story. It started by "Debian installer
crashes on Arabic menu for countrychooser". Now, after a lot of
investigation, Eugeniy reduced it to "something crashes when trying to
display Arabic with whiptail".


If I understand properly what is mentioned by Evgueniy, this even
happens without libfribidi installed.

This is somewhat important as it currently makes the Arabic
translation of D-I completely useless....

I re-attach the test script for you to test. I have been able to
reproduce the crash.

I want to have your advice before reassigning this to newt.
