Bug #269971 indeed does not really belong to languagechooser, I think. Before reassigning it to "debian-installer", I prefer asking Joey.
Languages are displayed in English only on cyrillic floppies because English "translations" of templates are dropped when building these floppies. Same certainly happens for "mid-east" and "asian" floppies. As the trick for showing translated values of languages in languagechooser is by using a faked English translation, it is dropped and thus not used. So, if the size constraints allow for it, English "translations" should be put back on all floppy sets....They are no really heavy as very few packages have them. If I'm correct, this needs adding "en" to the list of kept languages in DROP_LANG installer/build/config/*/floppy/*-root.cfg By the way, languagechooser has another bug reported (269972), wishing that he only displays supported languages when using floppies. Fixing this is far more tricky as it would need editing languagechooser's templates on the fly at build time and remove unsupported entries AND the relevant "translations". -- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
