One more potential problem I'm afraid.
After successfully completing first stage installation remotely, I choose
'Finish installation and reboot'.
The laptop started OK, but I was presented with a login prompt and not with
the second stage installation menu.
It looks like the special /etc/inittab (containing the call to base-config for
vt1) is not created when installing remotely.
Is this a feature or bug?
If a feature, how is one supposed to start second stage installation
('base-config new' from prompt?)?
Installation info:
- i386
- PXE/netboot sid_d-i 20040710
- udebs loaded from unstable
- installer console started from within KDE's konsole

base-config works via ssh, instruction how to finish them is included.
