For debugging p= urposes I also tried with "expert26" and "expert", with the same results. When booting linux26 quite a lot hardware-modules are getting loaded, inc= lusive for the HPT370 that is onboard, and where there are 2 disks on it. These = disks are quite _UN_important for this install. On the main controller there are two 250GB-HITACHI-Disks, that are well d= etected by the kernel, when modules are loaded, but are never seen by the d-i. When booting in expert-modes, I only loaded the modules, I knew I would n= eed. Still the disks are available to the system (I can correctly do fdisk -l /dev/discs/disc0/disc) but not seen by the installer. Hence all the following fails. I wanted to setup an RAID1 between the two disks and then create an LVM o= n /dev/hd[ab]5 I'll paste the merged dmesg outputs of the "expert"-runs and /var/log/par= tman (which is virtually the same for all runs). On request I can support the complete /var/log of all the runs I'll do another try with the official RC1 today, but I don't really have = the time, to do big testsuits, as I need to have this system running on Monday morning= .
