Hi, good news. Bug to USB stick works ! so does flakey CDROM works :-)
My concept code has been debuged and working. I did some code cleaning so auto detected device nasme can be identified in the log in case it does not work. This should allow people to use any vfat formated USB device or normal floppy to be used for storing log and bug report. Please check test iso image which has USB bug report and my cdrom-detect at: http://people.debian.org/~osamu/pub/ and use: sarge-i386-netinst-bug.iso new bugreport to floppy and USB with cdrom-detect fix there is still: sarge-i386-netinst-hacked.iso old cdrom-detect fix only The only negative is if you do not have floppy, it is very slow to know it. It is defenately debconf question for etch but for now this gives exta option. Also logging is nicer too. Since string freeze exist, no text change done. Maybe I should add some way to disable floppy probing... But so much for tonight. > PPS: I guess I need to update Release file in CD too to get it working. > But what else is needed to replace udeb in netinst CD? Package Package.gz Release md5sum.txt I have semi automatic Makefile :-) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
