This continued through both text mode and ncurses displays. Following completion of the install process and a second re-boot, this bug did not occur, and the text-mode console displayed correctly. Display system is an ATI FireGL X1-128 video board and a Sony P1110 high-resolution analog monitor. Do you want any specific tests run? The installation command was expert hw-detect/start_pcmcia=false netcfg/disable_dhcp=true The start_pcmcia=false option had no effect. The installer asked twice whether PCMCIA services should be started. The disable_dhcp=true option worked correctly.
