I don't think it's reasonable to expect auto-partitioning of /dev/sdb to keep partitions from /dev/sda that use the same mountpoints. If you're going to mix&match autopartitioning and manual partitioning, the autopartitioning needs to be done first. > partition procedure 2: (single disk) > - erase disk SCSI2 0,0,0 (sda) > - Go Back > - create empty partition tables for sda and sdb > - create sda1 32MB for use with aboot > - create sda2 32MB ext2 as /boot > - create sda[3-5] (automatically or manually, doesn't matter, with > settings used by automatic partitioning with /home) > - will result in part table: > #1 32MB aboot > #2 32MB ext2 /boot > #3 2.5GB ext3 / > #4 6.1GB ext3 /home > #5 324MB swap swap > - next step will refuse aboot installation (no space for aboot) and > throw me back to partitioning. > - if I remove sda[3-5] and create these partitions on sdb, everything > is fine. > culprit: single disk installation seems to be impossible if second disk > available The "no space for aboot" error is a subtle busybox bug that should be fixed in today's daily images.
