INSTALL REPORT Debian-installer-version: <Fill in date and from where you got the image> sid_d-i/powerpc/20040724/sarge-powerpc-businesscard.iso Comments/Problems: What does the partitioner do in it's "check the swap space" phase? If it's just doing a media check, it seems a great waste of time. It takes several minutes to complete for a 1GB swap area. Maybe a media check was appropriate for the relatively unreliable disks in use a decade ago when Linux was young, but not today... Moreover, looking in /proc/swaps on the F2 console while the swap space check is running indicates that that swap space in in use at the time! This is probably dangerous -- especially on systems with small RAM. Rick -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
