On configuring Hostname the "d" in debian wouldn't erase and so I got "dHostname". I noticed during the install (on tty3) "hostname lookup failure for Exim4-config" this may be irrelevant but as I didn't have a bootable system at the end, I couldn't check /etc/hostname. During "Installing base system" I got the main Debian Installer dialogue box with "Install quik on Hard Disk" highlighted. Pressing enter results in the dialogue box disappearing momentarily and then reappearing - this a continuous loop. I eventually proceeded without a boot loader after receiving "Boot loader not installed" and as the system won't boot, I guess that's right ;) Regards Clive -- http://www.clivemenzies.co.uk strategies for business -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
