But situation is not as bad as you think. d-i shell has [TAB] code
enabled.
And mightily pleased I was to find that so:-)
fdisk /dev/[TAB][TAB]
will list all device names and the rest is easy guess by the same [TAB][TAB] expansion.
I'd still like the symlinks:-)
