Thank you for quick fix, but: 1. #257970 seems be kernel upstream problem, and I'd already reassined to kernel-image-2.6.7-i386. May I reopen or send as new report? 2. This rootskel change works, but if we use kernel 2.4, vesafb and vga16fb will always be installed (because 2.4 hasn't fbcon). 3. base-config needs same change.
