That's weird, because the uncompressed initrd size is only about 8.5 MB. > adding ramdisk_size=16384 on the boot line does not help either, the > kernel then panics with "Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(58,4)" Well, the error suggests you need _more_ than 16 MB for that specific ramdisk.
