(not setting to grave for now... though it should probably be) If the user chooses to install into a partition rather than into the MBR, the system will not boot. partman-auto marks / as bootable, but if the user chose manual partitioning and forgot the bootable flag, the system will not boot since grub-installer doesn't set it.
