Hi! I checked the daily build img from 2004-06-16 and tried it with vmware and 2 disks. Kernel-image install still fails. But when you chroot /target and apt-get install mdadm (which is on the disk) then the kernel installs nicely.
Afterwards I installed lilo by hand (incl liloconfig) and added the line 'raid-extra-boot=/dev/sda,/dev/sdb' and installed lilo. Afterwards I rebooted the virtual machine and it came up nicely. Maybe including mdadm in the to-be-installed-package-list might solve this problem.
