Package: installation-reports

I just downloaded beta 2 of the debian-installer from
http://gluck.debian.org/cdimage/testing/sarge_d-i/i386/beta2/sarge-i386-neti
nst.iso (from: http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/).

I tried to load it up on my laptop and it consistently hangs at 'Detecting
hardware / 95% / Skipping unavailable module 'ide-floppy' for 'Linux IDE
floppy'.

Is this a known bug?

Steps:
-Boot from cd just by hitting enter
-English (USA)
-American English
-It goes through a hardware detect, then loads installer components, then
does
a 2nd hardware detect and hangs at above messege

My system is as follows:
Dell Inspiron 8100 Laptop
Mobile P3 - 1.2 GHz
515 Megs Ram
Nvidia GeForce2Go / 32 meg

I'm processing old installation reports, and have, finally, gotten to
yours. Thanks for talking the time to file an installation report.

I'm closing your installation report, which appeats to be due to a hang
during pcmcia startup. Newer versions of the installer prompt whether to
start pcmcia if run in expert mode, which should get you past the hang.

If you can, please try installing again using a current version of the
debian installer. I recommend the tc1 release, which you can find on our
web page, <http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/>. If you can, try
to reproduce the problems you reported using it, so we can verify that
they're all fixed. We look forward to your new installation report.
