I tried it again from scratch just to make sure I didn't miss it.
I also tried the Software RAID function and configured the 2 HD's as follows:
HDA /boot ext3 50m 10g raiddevice (0) swap 2g 108g (remainder) raiddevice (1)
HDB /boot2 ext3 50m 10g raiddevice (0) swap 2g 108g (remainder) raiddevice (1)
Then, I went in and assigned the 2 raid devices as follows:
raiddevice (0) / xfs raiddevice (1) /local xfs
This install failed later on with a message about:
/usr/sbin/mkinitrd: RAID support requires raidtools2 Failed to created initrd image dpkg: error processing kernel-2.4.26-1-386 (--configure) (more blowup errors)
