Did you select the 'C' entry in the new languagechooser? If so, the fix I've submitted against the bug #250376 would not apply for this selection. For verification, could you check the /etc/console-tools/config for a fresh install? If you can't see the setting 'APP_CHARSET_MAP=iso01', we have the problem. That's because, prebaseconfig script in languagechooser sets the console font and encoding in '/etc/console-tools/config', which in turn, is used by /etc/init.d/console-screen.sh to setup virtual consoles. P.S. I am sending a patch which fixes the console for 'C' selection by declaring its consoletype as 'kbd', but first we should verify the bug. Anyway, I think this bug should be reassigned to languagechooser. -- roktas
