Yes partman-auto can not partition entire drive with sun disk label. This is because of a bug in libparted and can not be fixed in partman-auto. However partman-auto should not propose to do something that it can not do. The easiest fix is to remove partman-auto for sparc but on the other hand the guided partitioning of a free space works...
