I don't believe the problem is the keyboard locking up, but just not being recognized by the kernel.
Install works just fine with Woody 3.0 kernel 2.20.20-idepci.

Comments/Problems:
Boots Fine, as soon as Language Chooser screen is reached (1st screen), keyboard locks up and can go no further. Tried no framebuffer (linux debian-installer/
framebuffer=false) and get same result.
