Hm, we can make yaboot-installer more tolerant here. Sounds like it's installed the apus kernel by mistake. This is a combination of the CD you're using lacking the correct kernel (I assume; could you look for kernel-image-2.4.25-powerpc?) and known design problems in base-installer that mean it can end up falling back to unusable kernels if it can't find the one it wanted.
