Hello, Reminder: IDE hda and hdc plus SCSI sda fails during initial reboot because the SCSI bus has not been scanned to find SCSI devices before fsck.ext2 attempts to verify the drives listed. The / partition is hda1.
I have now tried loading the same box using more than four versions of the test installer and kernels 2.6 and 2.4, as well as Woody revision 2, with both Lilo and Grub, all without success. I do not wish to disable fsck.ext2 on reboots, and would want to have any SCSI discs added post-installation to be checked as well (another computer now has an external SCSI box with SCSI drive and SCSI back-up tape). If this is the normal action, and discs will always be checked/scanned regularly, I can remove the drive and add it later, but there is no indication that this is just a problem with the initial reboot. -- Chris Bell -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
