Error Message (I will try to translate it from german): debootstrap exited with error 1 ("debootstrap wurde mit einem Fehler beendet (zurückgegebener Wert 1)") in /var/log/messages there are several errors. I think, the most important is: "dpkg: error processsing libpam-runtime (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1" All other packages which require libpam-runtime are also failing because of this error. After this installation, I downloaded the installation-cd with the base system, which works. --------------------------------------- Received: (at 243881-done) by bugs.debian.org; 20 Apr 2004 04:50:22 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Apr 19 21:50:22 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from kitenet.net [64.62.161.42] (postfix) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1BFnDC-0001CF-00; Mon, 19 Apr 2004 21:50:22 -0700 Received: from dragon.kitenet.net (dial236.pm3bloun2.bloun.naxs.com [216.98.69.236]) (using TLSv1 with cipher DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (Client CN "Joey Hess", Issuer "Joey Hess" (verified OK)) by kitenet.net (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2C20C18127 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Tue, 20 Apr 2004 04:50:21 +0000 (GMT) Received: by dragon.kitenet.net (Postfix, from userid 1000) id 2B5AC6E901; Tue, 20 Apr 2004 00:50:17 -0400 (EDT) Date: Tue, 20 Apr 2004 00:50:17 -0400 From: Joey Hess <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: closing Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="gKMricLos+KVdGMg" Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.5.1+cvs20040105i Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-2.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00 autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: X-CrossAssassin-Score: 1 --gKMricLos+KVdGMg Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable This was caused by a problem with the libpam-runtime package, since fixed. --=20 see shy jo --gKMricLos+KVdGMg Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: Digital signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAhKwId8HHehbQuO8RAtUjAJ4o2jWmn7q8DkiKqlwEpvb82lUphQCfa3ft pF9G4S+1OwejS3Sehf9IWZs= =6zJr -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --gKMricLos+KVdGMg-- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
