Any case, I did more research and figured-out the how to make the dual-boot thing work. ASIDE --found the stuff here: http://www.justlinux.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=75693&highlight=dual+boot Problem is the network didn't work... I realized this during "Debian base system configuration" (after successful reboot). There is a problem with the installer--with regards to installing the network modules. Also... this is a problem with THIS installer. I had Debian installed before and the hardware detection worked... and the network work ----on that hardware. My hardware needs the module "8139too" -- I knew this 'cause that showed up in 'lsmod' in the past install (based on an older daily build of the installer). Also, when I added "8139too" to "/etc/modules" and rebooted the network worked! :) I have no idea about the install arch and where that is... hope someone looks at it though.
