It seems that this is normal behavior, that the french pmac usb keymaps map the left-alt to altgr, and the apple/command key (both of them) to alt. Takes some used to, not sure who took that decision, and if it is a good idea. The right alt key seems to be badly mapped though, as it has keycode 96, but the keymap seems to think it has keycode 100, and keycode 96 correspond to KP_Enter if i saw well.
