Package: installation-reports Debian-installer-version: netinst ISO date: 09-APR-04 from http://gluck.debian.org/cdimage/testing/sarge_d-i/sparc/current/sarge-sparc-netinst.iso Method: boot from cdrom
Machine: SPARC Classic (sun4m) Processor: Memory: 16 MB typing 'boot cdrom' at the 'ok'-prompt loads SILO 1.4.4. Booting linux or rescue w/o or with additional arguments root=/dev/rd/o rw makes no difference: it gets a watchdog reset before starting the installation. Here is a transscript: ----------------schnipp------------------- Uncompressing image... Loaded kernel version 2.4.24 Loading initial ramdisk (1118864 bytes at 0x6030000) PROMLIB: obios_ranges 1 bootmenu_init: Scan sp_banks, init_bootmem (spfn[227a],bpfn[227a],mlpfn[2798]) Watchdog reset ok ----------------schnapp------------------- Are there any known tricks (except adding more memory) to avoid this?
