Uh, this bug doesn't appear to actually be fixed by the upload which was
done. Somehow this bug got merged with a bug about ignoring the
disable/enable stuff. This bug was about discover hanging when trying
to close the serial port and nothing in the changelog that was uploaded
indicates that's been fixed.
This bug should probably be reopened/unmerged from the disable/enable
issues.
