Currently the d-i initrd build process downloads discover-udeb, but does not put it in the initrd, and in the initrd, hw-detects dependency is unsatisfied. It might be better if discover 1 and 2 udebs both provided a third name, like discover, then hw-detect could depend on that. --=20 see shy jo --WIyZ46R2i8wDzkSu Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: Digital signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAYPGBd8HHehbQuO8RAoQBAJ9nH99u/d2SXFNsf4KjpayvTeaUfQCgqNtm A22S3Oi+W+xlxq418n66qKk= =cdZw -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --WIyZ46R2i8wDzkSu-- --------------------------------------- Received: (at 239725-done) by bugs.debian.org; 3 Apr 2004 07:53:50 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Apr 02 23:53:50 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from 217-13-7-10.dd.nextgentel.com (minerva.hungry.com) [217.13.7.10] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1B9fyP-0003KY-00; Fri, 02 Apr 2004 23:53:50 -0800 Received: from pere by minerva.hungry.com with local (Exim 3.35 #1 (Debian)) id 1B9fxr-00037s-00; Sat, 03 Apr 2004 09:53:15 +0200 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: should provide discover-udeb From: Petter Reinholdtsen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Petter Reinholdtsen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sat, 03 Apr 2004 09:53:15 +0200 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-1.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_30 autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: The package control file now reads Package: discover1-udeb Section: debian-installer Priority: extra Architecture: any Provides: discover Depends: ${shlibs:Depends}, discover1-data-udeb Description: hardware identification library (udeb) Checking the changelog, I see that the fix was included in version 1.5-7.
