Package: base-config
Version: 2.12
Severity: normal

(OK, so I've encountered this bug a while ago (in Beta2) but forgot to
report it. I did not have the time yet to reproduce it in Beta3, so
please forgive me if this is bogus)

I tried to install d-i on a small partition a while ago. I chose
'tasksel' and then by accident X-Window-System and Laptop (I think).

Anyway, when I saw apt-get doing it's job I realized that my partition
was too small and interrupted APT. I then got bumped back to
base-config's package selection. I again chose tasksel.

I'm not entirely sure whether the tasks I chose were still selected, but
I definetely had them all deselected when I ran 'install packages'
again. No Still, APT wanted to install all the X packages.

I also chose aptitude later on, and while I was not really 100% sure
that the packages were really deselected, I believe they were. Still,
APT installed all the tasks I selected in tasksel initially.

While I agree that this is a corner case, I still believe this to be a
bug which should be fixed eventually.
