I think the root cause is this failure in the log: Setting up exim4-config (4.30-7) ... hostname: Unknown host Adding system-user for exim (v4) /usr/sbin/exim4: error while loading shared libraries: libgnutls.so.10: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Invalid new configfile /var/lib/exim4/config.autogenerated.tmp not installing /var/lib/exim4/config.autogenerated.tmp to /var/lib/exim4/config.autogenerated If this is due to netbase not being configured, it may be of interest that netbase is configured a few packages later. (And some packages depending on exim4-config or exim or mail-transport-agent are attempted configured earlier but fail since exim4-config is still unconfigured.) If this is due to the libgnutls.so.10 error, it seems that libgnutls7 was configured some packages earlier, but I don't think there was a libgnutls10 unpacket. So exim4-daemon-light also failed to configure because it depends on libgnutls10. Hmm, that probably also contributed to the bootstrap failure. Not sure whose fault this is, I'll let you reassign as appropriate. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.25-1-k7 Locale: LANG=no_NO.ISO-8859-1, LC_CTYPE=no_NO.ISO-8859-1 --------------------------------------- Received: (at 239757-done) by bugs.debian.org; 27 Mar 2004 01:11:06 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Mar 26 17:11:06 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from kitenet.net [64.62.161.42] (postfix) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1B72Lq-0001ph-00; Fri, 26 Mar 2004 17:11:06 -0800 Received: from dragon.kitenet.net (216-98-91-95.access.naxs.com [216.98.91.95]) (using TLSv1 with cipher DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (Client CN "Joey Hess", Issuer "Joey Hess" (verified OK)) by kitenet.net (Postfix) with ESMTP id 632D517E8A for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Sat, 27 Mar 2004 01:11:05 +0000 (GMT) Received: by dragon.kitenet.net (Postfix, from userid 1000) id 545BC6E12D; Fri, 26 Mar 2004 20:10:36 -0500 (EST) Date: Fri, 26 Mar 2004 20:10:36 -0500 From: Joey Hess <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: fixed Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="DocE+STaALJfprDB" Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.5.1+cvs20040105i Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-2.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00 autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: --DocE+STaALJfprDB Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable This is fixed; the updated debootstrap is now in testing where the installer can find it. --=20 see shy jo --DocE+STaALJfprDB Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: Digital signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAZNSLd8HHehbQuO8RAgmMAJ44I2iBRLPqQc/wm+/PBX/H0qQGGACfad/n CLJs2ePSu2REPjPM6+C45+8= =2QmX -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --DocE+STaALJfprDB-- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
