Hey, this was to be a net install, wasn't it? But that went utterly wrong. In the dialog environment it kept complaining that it couldn't find my cdrom drive, then I said no problem fetch the stuff from the net, I configured the mirror I wanted to use, then it said Ok, but I can't find your cdrom drive. It took me a while until I understood that that was not a problem, and it was inconvenient anyway. The same thing happened after I reconfigured eth0 as static (which was not strictly necessary because DHCP works on our network too, but anyway.) Then it turned out that it didn't really detect my hard drive either, and from virtual terminal 3 I saw that there was no ReiserFS module for the selected kernel and it also wasn't in /proc/filesystems. So I decided it wasn't going to work. I did see that there were reiserfs modules for the other kernels though, so I entered shutdown -r now and decided to just hit enter at the LILO prompt. This time, everything went smoothly. No problems at all.
