I think this is fixed in cvs version of base-installer. Default kernel version wasn't the lastest.
I won't be able to try this out until it gets to testing (4 more days). Installs from unstable fail because there is no build for the latest version of exim4 (4.30-7).
Now that sparc images are autobuilding, I will try as soon as they show up (on gluck, I'm guessing?).
