I saw that on the laptops that I did. The installer was far better at detecting things than whatever tools does it on reboot. When I mentioned it on IRC, it seems it was a known issue. I just had to poke around and insmod all the right pieces in the right order and it went. Consider using 'modprobe' instead, which often takes care of that for you.
