I had downloaded the sarge-powerpc-netinst.iso, but I thought that perhaps I would be able to select Sid, since it was being offered. Later, when the partitions were mounted and the install was beginning, I received the following error messages: Debootstrap Error Failed getting Release file file:///cdrom/dists/sid/Release Installing base system into /target/ failed. Check /target/var/log/debootstrap.log and /target/var/log/debootstrap.err.log for the details. Both log files were empty when I opened them in nano. Restarting and choosing sarge worked fine. --------------------------------------- Received: (at 221727-done) by bugs.debian.org; 8 Feb 2004 00:28:12 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Feb 07 16:28:12 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from kitenet.net [64.62.161.42] (postfix) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1Apcnz-00085n-00; Sat, 07 Feb 2004 16:28:11 -0800 Received: from dragon.kitenet.net (pm3naxs17-104.access.naxs.com [216.98.94.104]) (using TLSv1 with cipher DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (Client CN "Joey Hess", Issuer "Joey Hess" (verified OK)) by kitenet.net (Postfix) with ESMTP id DB2961842E for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Sun, 8 Feb 2004 00:28:10 +0000 (GMT) Received: by dragon.kitenet.net (Postfix, from userid 1000) id F3C686E099; Sat, 7 Feb 2004 19:28:10 -0500 (EST) Date: Sat, 7 Feb 2004 19:28:10 -0500 From: Joey Hess <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: fixed Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="ReaqsoxgOBHFXBhH" Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.5.1+cvs20040105i Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_02_01 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=0.0 required=4.0 tests=none autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_02_01 X-Spam-Level: --ReaqsoxgOBHFXBhH Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable The d-i netinst isos now only include choose-mirror if they are businesscard CDs.
