Installer refused to believe this. <Description of the install, in prose, and any thoughts, comments and ideas you had during the initial install.> Network, sound, USB mouse, X with 2D graphics OK. 3D graphics succeeded only with latest Nvidia drivers. I have never seen old Quake3 related bug as often! Quake3 playable only with sound disabled. I'll test 2.6 kernel. Installer made working lilo.conf. It has only necessary lines and no comments. So I did 'liloconfig'. It gave me well documented lilo.conf. Unfortunately it didn't work. 1: It used /boot/sid.bmp but symlink was missing 2: It didn't have "initrd=/initrd.img" line. 3: there were boot=/dev/hda3 instead of boot=/dev/hda (Probably my mistake, I pressed enter to accept defaults without thinking.) liloconfig should take old lilo.conf values as default values. Old install boot disk (I have 3.0.23) is also an excellent rescue disk. It has excellent help. I failed to use new install floppy as a rescue disk. Old one still worked. - Jukka -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
