Please try a daily build of the boot images. You can get a daily build here: http://people.debian.org/~sjogren/d-i/images/daily/ If it still doesn't work, copy any messages that appear after you insert the floppy and hit enter, and I'll try to debug it. I've had reports of the beta 1 failing with Sony USB floppy drives and the dailys working. -- see shy jo
