I don't understand this pull toward using debconf questions for things that the filesystem can do and that do not involve user interaction or overriding. Just have any udeb that provides a mkfs.* also provide a /usr/share/fs-tools/<foo> that lists the names of packages to install for that filesystem type. Or any similar approach. -- see shy jo
