Package: install Version: beta-1 Severity: minor We tried to install with the sarge-netinst-i386.iso CD-Image of the Debian installer beta-1. Unfortunately, the installer could not detect our SCSI-CDrom device. We were unable to comply with the suggestions in the HOWTO since we do not have a floppy drive.
We have an Adaptec 2940UW controller (module aic7xxx). It would be rather important to have the SCSI-modules in the CD-Rom initrd for this reason. We are willing to test daily builds if that functionality makes it to the debian-installer.
