Package: speedtouch Severity: wishlist WIBNI one could install Debian via an USB ADSL connection? To achieve this, the user-space tools required to run ppp correctly must be provided in a .udeb package. Additionally, it will be necessary to create a main-menu entry to load the firmware file from a vfat floppy and execute modem_run.
This is obviously not high priority, since in most situations, one probably already has a NATing router box and can install via LAN. I have access to all the hardware required to test this, but I am currently lacking free time for this project. I might have a look at this later on, but for now, I'd rather see the idea recorded and maybe picked up by someone in the meantime. -- CYa, Mario | Debian Developer <URL:http://debian.org/> | Get my public key via finger [EMAIL PROTECTED] | 1024D/7FC1A0854909BCCDBE6C102DDFFC022A6B113E44 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
