Package: netcfg-dhcp
Version: 0.27
Tags: d-i
Severity: important

If the computer has a network device and is connected to a network, but
there is no dhcp server on this net, then netcfg-dhcp succeeds although
no lease is acquired. ps shows, that the dhcp-client process is still
running afterwards. I suspect that the dhcp-client simply goes into the
background when it does not acquire a lease after several seconds and
does not return an error code.
