Package: netcfg-dhcp Version: 0.27 Tags: d-i Severity: important If the computer has a network device and is connected to a network, but there is no dhcp server on this net, then netcfg-dhcp succeeds although no lease is acquired. ps shows, that the dhcp-client process is still running afterwards. I suspect that the dhcp-client simply goes into the background when it does not acquire a lease after several seconds and does not return an error code.
