Under a scenario like that, you'd be wanting to use something more appropriate and flexible like FAI than d-i, I'd have thought anyway... FWIW, I just did an install today (I'll post a report once I figure out how) and found the autopartition stuff downright annoying, the way it insistently asked about doing it.
