Some time.
Joey Hess is working on Debian installer from an usb stick. You boot
with a 2 floppy set that will then detect your usb and run the
installer from usb.
You can probably help out a by making a debian-installer module
that will create a single floppy usb-harddisk-bootdisk or just by
being available for tests every now and then.
