Yes, this is bug #215403 (debconf_capb definition broken) crashing main-menu. We discovered it last evening, but it was too late to fix it for yesterdays archive update. > I noticed that /sbin/debian-installer will be respawned on the active > console, so when it dies while you watch alt-f4 it respawns on top of > the debug messages. I got around that using Ctrl-S in tty1 first, to stop the looping. > We had a pretty well working set of udebs and images before. Why > weren't they pushed into sarge as planed? I've uploaded the updated cdebconf, and we need to rebuild/reupload all packages using the debconf_capb() macro in the source to fix the problem. Anyone know why is the debconf_* macros are macros? If they were library functions, it would have been sufficient to upload a new cdebconf. They are not, so we need to rebuild. Would it be smarter to convert them to real functions instead? -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
