While I also think convenience in standard cases might be a nice thing, the installer should have minimal occourance of userfriendlyness and fullfilling expections: If it wasn't highly-experimental test-images I'd not have waited the minute of blank screen after it asked for the IP-address, but thrown it out and tried aynother image.
