Package: install Version: 3.0.23 Error message varies by flavour. I tried to install using the standard CD installation without floppy drive and floppy controller disabled on motherboard. Installation of the kernel failed every time. I got an idea to add temporarily a floppy drive without any disk and then the installation succeeded. Used hardware MSI 845E (Intel based)
