Thanks for the rationale. Right now, it strikes me that the new bugs filed against d-i really ought to have as full a rationale behind them as possible, rather than short snippets which only make sense to the filer and perhaps one other person. That way, innocent bystanders like myself, or perhaps other people who want to assist, will be able to better choose which bugs to tackle.
