Downloaded debian-30r1-i386-binary-1.iso from: http://www.linuxiso.org/distro.php?distro=4 Ran md5sum and it matched numbers in file: http://www.linuxiso.org/md5sum.php/401/debian-30r1-i386-binary-1.iso.md5 So I burned the image onto one of my newly acquired GQ 1-52X CD-R's. Booted the CD on the target machine only to encounter error msg.: "crc error" ... It booted, I hit enter, it said: ================================== boot: Loading /install . . . . . . . . . . Loading idepci.bin . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ready Uncompressing Linux . . .
crc error -- System Halted ===================================== Thinking it may be bad media disk or some sort error on it, (I really dono what "crc error" means), I burned the image to another CD and tried again, but encountered same error.
